MediaCor Online About 12 years ago my classmates Justin, Ardith and I put together a media company as part of a final school project. Since graduating from ITT with bachelor's degree in hand, all that time ago ;-), I've had a very exciting corporate career which eventually led me to Chicago and beyond. But the idea of owning my own business was never too far in the back of my mind as was returning to the Northwest. Now that I'm back in Portland I felt I could give the “owning my own company” idea a fresh start. So I've been working on reviving my once school project MediaCor. After some time well spent and a few site redesigns I'm finally able to introduce MediaCor Online. I'm focusing on some key areas including local small business website design, artist e-commerce storefronts, and podcast production. I already have some great clients but one project I'm extremely excited about is Café press and a partnership with my folks. Basically we're re-purposing their artwork to be made available on variety of merchandise to be printed on demand as its sold. This will minimize their overhead, maximize their profits, and make their art available on merchandise it never has been before. Be sure to check out their site! You can read more about this on the MediaCor website if you're interested and I will be writing future blog posts about this exciting project. Anyway I just wanted to introduce my new business venture to my friends and colleagues. Take a look at my website and tell me what you think by leaving a comment on my feedback page. I also rely on word-of-mouth advertising and referrals so please recommend MediaCor to your friends, family, and colleagues. It's very much appreciated! Here's to happy creating :-) The CES show just ended recently in Las Vegas and it just seemed like there were a lot of products being created because they could be created with no real intention of any problems they could solve. Just doing it because it can be done. And sometimes a person might pick up one of these "tools", use it, and then discover "hey this could be useful to solve this issue" and it really might take off. I think in some regards this is the situation we are presented with regards to the online digital space. Everything is so new and in its infancy and not enough time has passed to discover what will and what won't be successful. So perhaps the best approach is the throw everything at everything and then step back to see what sticks.
