I began my career professionally after graduating from the Art Institute of Seattle. After several retail jobs I found Fred Meyer. I wore many hats over the 18 years I was with the company starting with visual display and moving throughout the company to end up in the training department performing various graphic and multimedia duties. It was after graduating from ITT with my Bachelors degree that I began the last phase of my career with Fred Meyer which led me to the clear path I’m on today.
I joined the team which designed and built a satellite-based corporate TV studio known as FMTV. The studio was a three camera blue screen virtual set studio based on Halo ring technology. It included a learning management system which allowed us to communicate to the field live. The studio became the blueprint for further studio builds in other Kroger territories, Fred Meyer’s parent company. |
After successfully managing the studio for 5+ years I moved on to design and build a studio for OfficeMax. With OfficeMax I took a different approach and built a studio which would use the corporate intranet and Internet. I designed the studio with the end in mind so that it would accommodate everything from YouTube style video production to full 1080P digital signage production.
Both studios have been very successful to this day. I decided however I’d like to pursue a freelance career. With some great clients behind me I left OfficeMax and am consulting with various companies, producing video projects, and tutoring. I believe a well-rounded education at both the Art Institute and ITT technical along with many years of experience make me a great asset to any company or a great resource on your next project.
