The CES show just ended recently in Las Vegas and it just seemed like there were a lot of products being created because they could be created with no real intention of any problems they could solve. Just doing it because it can be done. And sometimes a person might pick up one of these "tools", use it, and then discover "hey this could be useful to solve this issue" and it really might take off. I think in some regards this is the situation we are presented with regards to the online digital space. Everything is so new and in its infancy and not enough time has passed to discover what will and what won't be successful. So perhaps the best approach is the throw everything at everything and then step back to see what sticks.
