First impressionsSince we arrived at the mission in total darkness and bone tiered today was my first impression of the ILAC Mission. “Opting” to sleep in I missed breakfast, but a power bar was sufficient. I took the opportunity to seek out Carman the mission coordinator and get a tour of the grounds and physicality’s on camera.
First legs of my trip under way!First leg of my inaugural trip to the Dominican Republic to document the St Vincent's orthopedic surgeons and teams mission to ILAC Mission & Juan Boche Hospital underway. Justin dropped me off so early at 4:30 am. I met my travel mates at the gate after a fairly painless check in, security check, and much needed trip to the coffee bar. A 5 hour layover ensued at JFK and I started getting to know the team before leaving on our final leg from JFK to Santiago and the ILAC Mission where we will arrive sometime around 1 am Sunday. Hope there is some sleep involved before my first shoot 😊 It is comforting to be traveling in a group and not the only newbie. |
About Peter...I am a cheerful and energetic person who enjoys gardening, camping with my husband, and hiking with my dog Coco. I have a passion for gadgets and computers, which I have been tinkering with since I was young. I can handle various technical tasks with ease, and I love helping my friends, family, and co-workers with their electronic or computer-related problems. I have a knack for explaining things in simple terms and showing others how to do things patiently.
